7-Way Recommendation for a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 to Bypass Factory TIPM
Question:
I have a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Laramie. The left turn signal and brake light are not working on the trailer will this system bypass the issues that come with the Computer on the 3rd generation dodge rams. The current power out of my 7 pin is 10.74V on both the left and right turn signals this setup seems like it could bypass the factory. would this part fit my 2006?

I have a solution for you, but the # 22112 would not work on your 2006 Dodge Ram 2500.
Instead you would need to start with the part # 118381 as a 4-way.
Now if your trailer does not have brakes all you would need is the part # 37185 as an adapter to convert the 4-way to a 7-way.
If you do have trailer brakes you would need the # ETBC7 instead of the # 37185 and a brake controller. This kit comes with everything needed to wire up the 7-way and install a brake controller.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.
