Brake Controller Shows 5.0 Error on Display

i have a brake controller that still works but is showing a code 5o or so just wondering what this means

If you have brake controller # 80550 then you are likely seeing 5.0 which indicates the power is set to the max and there is an open ground on the white wire.

There are ways you can test and troubleshoot a brake controller and I have included a couple of links that cover this for you.

If you have a different model brake controller let me know what it is and I can determine if the error means something else.
