Trunk Mounted Bike Rack Recommendation for 2004 BMW 545i

The best choice from the ease-of-use standpoint would be the Thule OutWay, part # TH45JV (2 bike) or # TH56BV (3 bike). The ratcheting cables used to connect the bike to the vehicle are extremely easy to use, and allow the rack to be installed or removed in a matter of seconds. The mounting cables are lockable, and the rack includes an integrated cable lock to deter theft.
If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) I recommend using bike adapter bar # TH982XT. This will allow you to carry the bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have linked a video showing how the adapter works.
