Parts Needed to Install Hydraulic Disc Brakes on Tandem Axle Boat Trailer
Question:
I want to add disk brakes to my tandem axle Nextrail boat trailer. This trailer has never had brakes of any kind. What measurements do I need to take to make sure your kit will fit and which kit would you recommend? The trailer carries a 24 ft Sunesta deck boat. Thanks.

You can install disc brakes on your boat trailer in two possible ways: a full hydraulic system with a surge coupler or an electric-over-hydraulic (EOH) system that also requires an EOH actuator like the CTS # HBA16 and a brake controller like the Prodigy P3 # 90195. The surge coupler option will be less costly overall.
The trailer will need to have brake flanges on its two axles; if not you'll need a qualified welder to install these - they must be perfectly aligned. You'll need to check your axle capacity (usually on the sticker or plate that is on the axle itself) to choose a brake kit with the correct capacity to match your axles. You'll need a disc brake coupler and a brake line kit - one is included with the Titan kit you referenced. You will need to find hub/rotors that use the same bearings as your current hubs, and the same wheel bolt pattern, to ensure they will fit your spindles and your wheels.
I suggest you start by reviewing the two linked articles. Each covers the details about the two different disc brake applications noted above.
