Plug-In Wiring Adapter Needed to Install Brake Controller on 2001 GMC 2500HD w/ Factory Tow Package
Question:
Hi, I have 2001 GMC 2500HD 8.1 with factory 7 hitch plug. Im interested in the brake controller tekonsha but Im not sure I will need to have the adaptor for my truck. If required, which one to get?

To install a brake controller like the Tekonsha Prodigy P3, # 90195, on your 2001 GMC 2500HD equipped with the factory 7 way, you can use Plug-In Wiring Adapter, # 3025-P. Just mount the controller, plug one end of the adapter into the controller, plug the other end into the port on your GMC and you are done.
