New Curt Wiring Harness Now Has Inline Fuse For Power Input

Question:

55571 Wire Harness 2010 Nissan Murano I received my 55571 wire harness and immediately noticed that it has an inline fuse holder as follows: - red wire from control module with inline fuse holder - red wire on vehicle side of fuse holder is then spliced to a black wire with a white single pin connector for connecting to the vehicles power cable. My assumption is that the control module wiring has been updated but the instructions have not yet been modified? If that is the case, I believe the 10-Amp fuse included with the harness should be ed into the inline fuse holder and that there should be no need to remove/replace any of the fusing in the engine compartment? I welcome your feedback...

I called my contact at Curt and they told me you have one of the newer design wiring harnesses they have manufactured.

You will need a 10 amp fuse for the inline and will also need to replace the fuse in your vehicle with a 10 amp fuse as well. They told me that they are updating their instructions to show the newer harness but the older instructions seem to have made it in the newer packaging.
