Leaf Spring, Hanger Kit, and U-Bolt Kit Recommendation for a Boat Trailer

Question:

Hello, I have a boat trailer which is single axle. Im rebuilding the trailer axle setup, and went to know exactly what I need to purchase. I need the hangers, the springs and mounting hardware. The boat is around 3000lbs 18 foot fiberglass with inboard maybe a bit more. I would prefer a kit that doesnt need to be welded. Let me know what all part #s I would need to mount the axle. The axle is square tube. Thanks.

Let's start with leaf springs. For that you will want to pick a set that can handle the weight of your trailer when it is loaded (obviously). Since your boat weighs 3,000 lbs and we have to factor in the weight of your trailer the # e27SR would be a great choice as it is a 4,500 lb axle spring.

The hanger kit you would want is the part Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit # APS4. And the distance between the spring hanger centers should be 24-7/8 inches. Typically this hanger kit would get welded on, but since it has bolt holes you could also bolt it on.

To pick out the u-bolt kit you will need to measure the dimensions of the axle you have and then follow the link I attached that will take you to the page that has all of the axle u-bolts we carry. You will need to select your u-bolt dimensions from the filters on the page and the correct u-bolts will be listed. Once you select the u-bolt you need there will be a related product on that page that has the correct mounting bracket.
