Will Hopkins Backup Sensor System Work on a Truck with a Step Bumper
Question:
I am curious if this will work on a pick up truck that has what is called a step bumper? The plate mounting is 5 inches straight out from plate mounting to leading edge of the rear bumper. basically a standard truck step bumper. If not what would you recommend for this application.

The Hopkins Backup Sensor System # HM60100VA should still work with the step bumper. You will probably need to adjust the angle of the sensors so that they are not picking up the bumper and giving a false alert.
