Why Cant a T-Connector Trailer Wiring Harness be Installed On 2013 Chevy Traverse with Rear AC

Part #C56181 says it cannot be installed if my Traverse has rear A/C, mine does. Is there any other options to be able to tow? Why cant it be installed?

Expert Reply:
I checked with our installers and the rear AC unit blocks the access to the right side tail light wiring. In order to install harness # C56181 on your 2013 Chevy Traverse the harness would have to be modified, basically making it more of a hardwire installation which will void the harness warranty. Instead of having to deal with that I recommend using a hardwire harness to start with, # 118271.
