Cargo Carrier and Hitch Recommendation for a 2015 Ford Escape

I have a regular wheelchair 30lbs that I would like to carry on the rear of my 2015 Ford Escape. Getting the chair in and out of the rear door is somewhat awkward and is not to good for my bad back. Do you have a product that will easily carry.

Sounds like a hitch mounted cargo carrier with a ramp would be what you would need. This way you would be able to just roll the wheel chair up the ramp and it wouldn't require any heavy lifting.

First you would need a hitch on your 2015 Ford Escape. For that you would want the part # 75758.

Now for a cargo carrier with a ramp I would recommend the part # PS10401-10402. Only problem with this is that because it has a ramp it's pretty heavy (101 lbs), so you might be better off with a carrier without a ramp like part # C18113 that only weighs 25 lbs.

For a set of tie downs you could use the part # EM05729 to secure the chair to the carrier.
