There are options for carrying bikes on your 2015 Ford Escape Titanium, but trunk mounted bike racks will not fit on this model. There is a plastic fascia on the bottom that prohibits the use of the lower straps.
The best way to carry bikes on your vehicle is to install a trailer hitch, like the Draw-Tite Class III Trailer Hitch part # 75782, and use a hitch mounted bike rack like the Thule Apex 2 bike rack # TH9024XT. I always recommend going with a hitch mounted bike rack because it is the safest way to carry bikes and the bike rack has zero contact with your vehicle.
It's more of an investment over a trunk mount bike rack, but this will ensure that your vehicle will not be damaged when carrying bikes. A hitch mounted bike rack also gives you the ability to access the rear cargo area with the bike rack attached.
I included a few informative articles and video reviews for you too.
