Do Tuners/Programmers Leave any Trace Even After Returning Truck to Stock and Removing Tuner

Question:

I would like to know which tuners that you carry leave a footprint on the vehicles computers, please? Assuming that I have installed a tune, and then reset the tune back to stock, and removed the tuner equipment entirely. I have a 2012 Ford F-350 6.7l Powerstroke TD. Thank you for your time.

It is possible that the presence of any programmer can be detected on any vehicle if the equipment running diagnostics is sophisticated enough. While unlikely that it would be detected on a vehicle returned to stock it is still possible.

The Edge CTS3 Evolution # EP96TR is the most popular programmer/monitor for your 2012 Ford F-350 6.7 liter diesel. It provides up to 157 additional horsepower and has a touch screen display.

You are protected by the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act. This act states, in part, that unless the installation and the part installed caused a problem then the warranty cannot be voided. I recommend looking it up online.
