Recommended Roof Rack for 2005 Mazda 3 with Naked Roof/No Fixed Mounting Points

Question:

My car has a naked roof I believe its called. There is a long thin black plastic strip on each side above doors. Is that considered just the rain gutter and no mounting points under the strip? Can I be informed if your product intended for NO EXISTING RAILS OR MOUNTING POINTSinch will be the best option as far as install goes... or if under that strip is a place to screw in something? 2005 Mazda 3 4door- Thank you

The thin black plastic strip on the 2005 Mazda 3 is the rain gutter. There are no mounting points under that strip. You will want to go with a roof rack for a naked roof with no existing rails for mounting points, I recommend the following roof rack:

- Inno Aero Crossbars - 51" # INXB130-138
- Inno Through Feet # INXS250
- Custom Fit Kit # INK794

With the Inno Aero crossbars, you receive the benefits of an extremely aerodynamic design that ultimately leads to a quieter ride and increased fuel efficiency. With the Through Feet, you maximize the entire length of the 51" crossbars without interference. Since the fit kit installs via your door jambs, you do not need to worry about installing any screws into your roof. With this setup, you receive 140 pounds of maximum weight capacity.
