Troubleshooting Brake Controller Output That Only Shows 3 Volts At Max Setting On Manual Override  

Question:

States when engine running hold manual full left and set power knob to 6.0. Cant get more than 3.2. What cpuld be the problem. Thanking you

You can do some testing to make sure your brake controller is working properly.

Sever the blue wire about 4 to 6 inches from the back of the brake controller. You said you set the gain to 6.0. If that is the highest setting on your controller you should see about 12 volts on the blue wire when you move the manual lever all the way over. If you do not, chances are you have a bad brake controller and it should be replaced.
