It might sound hard to believe, but the procedure for installing a brake controller doesn't really vary much from vehicle to vehicle.
I've linked you to a 2 part video showing the # ETBC7 kit being used to install a P2 on a 2008 FJ Cruiser. On your LX470, you'll need a functional 4-pole trailer connector. If you don't have one, you can install one using part # C55365.
The only other thing that will vary from vehicle to vehicle is the color of the brake stoplight switch wire that the red wire from the controller needs to be tapped into. Use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to test the wires exiting the switch located at the top of the brake pedal. You're looking for the switch that only shows voltage when the brake pedal is pressed. Once you find it, tap the red wire from the controller into that circuit.
Everything else will be almost identical to what's shown in the video. I've also linked you to the instructions for how to install the # C55365, and to several helpful FAQ articles.
