Friction Sway Control For a 2012 Ford Escape Towing a Trailer
Question:
Will 83660 work with 2012 Ford Escape? Also what would RP26005 used for with the kit? Is that what connects to the hitch to attach the other part of the sway bar?

Expert Reply:
Yes, the friction sway control part # 83660 that you referenced can be used on your 2012 Ford Escape towing a trailer as long as also get the part # RP26005 and you have a Class II hitch with a 1-1/4 inch opening on your 2012 Ford Escape like the Draw Tite Hitch part # 36501.
A better option would be a Class III hitch with a 2 inch opening like the part # e56AR and to use the # RP26003 with it instead of going the Class II option as a Class III hitch will have more capacity.
The # RP26005 provides the attachment point for the sway control to the ball mount.
