Recommended Parts to Convert Electric Brakes on 5th Wheel to Electric Over Hydraulic

Question:

I have a 2015 Arctic Fox Fifth Wheel with 2 X 7,000lb al-ko axles number 49606 with 12 x 2 brake assy with electrick drum brakes. The tow vehicle is a 2015 Ram 3500 with factory brake controller. Id like to switch over to electric over hydraulic disk brakes. I see you have a kit for 3,500 lb axles but cant find one for 7,000 axles. Do you have such a kit for the axles I have? Thanks

We don't offer a complete kit for 7K axles, but we do have hub/rotors or slip on rotors that could work depending on the inner and outer wheel bearings or wheel bolt pattern your hubs currently use.

For instance, if your hubs use a 25580 inner bearing and a 14125A outer bearing, two of the Kodiak # K2HR712E kits which include the hub/rotors, calipers and caliper brackets would be a good start. The bearings and races are included. You'd also need a line kit like part # DM5425 and an electric over hydraulic actuator like the HydraStar # HBA16. If your tow vehicle doesn't already have an electric over hydraulic actuator compatible brake controller (not all brake controllers are EOH compatible) I'd recommend the Tekonsha P3, part # 90195.

If you could reply with the reference numbers from your inner and outer wheel bearings and the bolt pattern your wheels use, I'd be happy to make some specific recommendations regarding the brakes themselves.

I've linked you to an FAQ article that explains what all you'll need to add electric over hydraulic disc brakes to your fifth wheel.
