what would you recommend reeves part #for a fifth wheel hook for a Silverado 1500 crew cab 5.7 automatic two wheel drive. Towing a Open Range 34-37 fifth wheel?

For either the 2014 or 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 with 5-1/2 foot bed you can use Reese custom installation kit # RP50064-58.

On a bed shorter than 6 feet long you would have to use a fixed hitch and a Sidewinder replacement pin box on the trailer. This is because a slider hitch does not offer enough clearance to make tight turns without hitting the truck and trailer together.

Sidewinders only fit certain model pin boxes so I would need to know the manufacturer and model number of the pin box on the trailer. This information is usually on a sticker or plate on the pin box itself. I have included a link to our help article on Sidewinders for you.

For a hitch since you are looking at a 1500 series truck a 16K hitch is probably going to be the best option. For a good entry level hitch with 4-Way pivoting head and dual jaws you can use Reese hitch # RP30047.
