We have two base plate kits available for your 1995 Jeep Cherokee. Both base plate kits are only for models that do not have a brushguard.
First is the Roadmaster Standard Base Plate Kit, # 1402-1. But if it were my Jeep, I would go with the Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit, # 1418-1. The XL series brackets attach to the towed vehicle frame and provide attachment points for tow bars. The visible portions of bracket can be removed when not towing.
Please note that trimming of spoiler, air dam, grille, or plastic fascia may be required on some models of this vehicle for either base plate kit. For the 1418-1 kit, the plastic under the bumper must be trimmed and a small bumper strap needs to be cut.
You could then add the RoadMaster Tracker Tow Bar, # RM-020, if you need one, to go with the XL base plate kit. I have included a link to the installation details below.
Remember that when flat towing a vehicle, you will need safety cables, like the RoadMaster 68 inch Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables, # RM-643. You will also need a light kit. For a temporary light kit, I suggest the Magnetic Towing Light Kit, # RM-2120. For a more permanent solution, use the RoadMaster Tail Light Wiring Kit with Bulbs, # RM-155.
