Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendations for 2014 Ram 3500 Long Bed Truck

I have a 2014 3500 dodge ram long bed I was told I need a special companion 5th wheel hitch.

Expert Reply:
The B&W Companion # BWRVK3600 would be a fit for your truck if it's equipped with the under-bed factory tow/prep package. The hitch would fit into 4 round pucks that are set into the surface of the truck bed.
If your truck isn't equipped with the factory prep package, you could install a B&W Companion like part # BWRVK3500-5W in your truck bed using the # BWGNRK1314-5W rail kit. The rail kit can also be used as a gooseneck hitch once the fifth wheel hitch is removed.
Another option if your truck doesn't have the factory tow prep package would be to use a hitch that mounts to industry standard bed rails, like the Curt Q20, part # C16130. You'll also need the install kit, part # RP50085-58.
If your truck doesn't already have a 7-way installed in the truck bed, you can install one using part # 41157. You can see some installation videos by clicking the provided links.
