Troubleshooting Five Wires that Turn into 4-Flat Connector
Question:
I have to replace the vehicle-to-trailer connector on my Grand Cherokee Laredo 98. It has 5 wires that turns into a 4-flat connector. Colors are: Red Green Yellow Brown White I have a Vehicle wiring harness from your company- it only has Gr/Br/Ye/White going into the 4-flat. No red. How do I make this work? Can I simply attatch the green? Connected everything but the green and red.

Sounds like you want to replace the vehicle side 4-way on your Jeep. If that is the case, you will want to use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 and test the function of each wire.
I have attached a couple of helpful articles about wiring and how to troubleshoot.
