How to Determine if the Hitch Rise Adapter HT5R Will Clear Rear Bumper of Vehicle
Question:
Will the HT5R hitch adapter rise clear the bumper on my 2014 VW Golf. I have a 2inch hitch mounted bike rack I am using to carry a wheel chair? Thanks

On adapter # HT5R it measures 3-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the upright that supports the 2 inch receiver. You will need to measure from the center of the hitch pin hole on your vehicle out to the furthest point out on the rear bumper. If that dimension is less than 3-1/2 inches this adapter would clear.
You should also note that with this adapter you will end up cutting the capacity of the hitch on your vehicle by 50 percent.
I attached a review video for this adapter for you to check out as well.
