Fit of Thule Sidekick Roof Top Cargo Carrier Part # TH682 on 2001 Toyota 4Runner

Question:

2001 Toyota 4Runner Fac installed roof rack, I had not seen any resopnces if this Item will fit my vehicle. Can you please advise? Thank you in advance.

The Thule Sidekick Roof Top Cargo Carrier, part # TH682 is not a vehicle specific item, but according to Thule it should fit your vehicle.

If your factory roof rack has crossbars that are at least 23-5/8 inches but no more than 28 inches apart from front to back, and the crossbars are no more than 3-3/4 inches in diameter, the Thule Sidekick should work great for you.

Some cargo boxes interfere with the full operation of the rear liftgate, but since the Sidekick is pretty short, this shouldn't be a problem. You can confirm this by measuring rearward from the center of the front crossbar until you reach the seam between the roof and the liftgate. If this distance is greater than 36 inches, the Sidekick won't interfere with your rear liftgate.
