Trailer Wiring Harness Recommendations for a 2004 Jeep Liberty
Question:
Can I use a Hopkins 48895 to wire my 2004 jeep liberty for trailer lights

Expert Reply:
I checked with Hopkins and they show # 46255 or # 46365 as the hardwire options for your 2004 Jeep Liberty. But you do not have to splice a harness into the vehicle wiring because there are options that plug in line with the vehicle tail light wiring such as # 118524. I have linked a video showing how it installs.
If you are apprehensive about routing a power wire to the front of the vehicle it is actually easy, just time-consuming compared to the rest of the installation. I have linked a help article I wrote with tips on routing the power wire.
