Can the Length of the Pipe be Adjusted on 55 Inch Lock Side-Door Bar Lock Assembly
Question:
I have an older trailer with an existing top and bottom cam lock bracket that are 50inch apart. Can I cut down the assembly fro 55 to 50 inches? Im not able to weld using the universal kit.

The pre-assembled cam door lock # 3057-55 is already all put together and can't easily be modified and you may end up having to weld anyway. So I would just go with the universal one, # 383200, and having someone weld it all up for you for a nominal fee. There is likely a machine shop or muffler shop that can do that for you.
The other option is to go shorter, # 305736, which is a 36 inch bar.
