Parts Needed to Do an Over-Under Kit on a 1-3/4 inch Trailer Axle
Question:
Have a Coleman Pop up Camper 1991 Acadian, I t has what I call golf cart tires and sits real low.I do a lot of back road camping and am wondering how much lift I can get with a flip kit and most important when I change over what tires do you recommend I switch over to.Rough measurement it looks like 13/4 round axle.I pull with a Frontier it barely can be seen over my tailgate when closed. It has a 5 nut pattern wheel.

When you use an over under kit like the part # K71-385-00 you end up gaining a lift that measures the diameter of your axle, plus the spring seat, and the thickness of your leaf springs. You will need to measure those items on your trailer to determine the amount of lift you would need.
Since we don't have a kit designed to fit a 1-3/4 inch diameter axle, and since you aren't completely sure that is the diameter of your axle you will need to verify this before I can piece you together an over-under kit.
Let's say you did have a 1-3/4 inch diameter axle though. You would want the u-bolt kit part # APUBR-10 and then the spring seats part # TRSS175. This would be all that you would need if you do have 1-3/4 inch axles. You will need to weld the spring seat into place as well.
Going to bigger tires will require knowing the current size of your tires so that I can see whats larger that would fit.
