Replacement 7-Way Recommendation for a 2002 Chevy Silverado
Question:
I saw the 2002 Silverado video for installing this part on your website. What else do I need if my trailer has surge brakes or should I order something totally different? Id like a finished look vice wires hanging from underneath the rear bumper. Thank you.

It sounds like you have a surge brake trailer that has a 7-way trailer connector on it and need a 7-way to install on your 2002 Chevy Silverado.
The part # HM40975-11998 would be the correct harness for you if you had a 7-way on your truck and it (and the harness), got damaged and was in need of replacing.
If you only need the connector without the harness you would want the part # HM40975. This would connect to the harness under your rear bumper. Chances are this would be all that you would need.
