Dimensions Of Mounting Plate For RodBuckle Retractable Fishing Rod Tie-Down Strap

Question:

I have a 1999 Stratos 295 pro elite bass boat I am wanting to install these on to replace the bungee cord factory set up. Besides the length of the strap what are the dimensions of the unit that installs on the gun wale of my boat. The description just says 2x 24. I only have around 2 3/4inch of height to work with where these will mount.

I have attached a photo of the RodBuckle Retractable Fishing Rod Tie-Down Strap, part # IMF14200. The photo has the dimensions you are interested in. As you can see, the mounting plate measures 2 inches tall so you should have no problem mounting it on your 2-3/4 inch Gunwale.

The photo also shows the dimensions for the bottom portion of the buckle system. This system comes with a template that you use to make sure the location has the room needed for installation.
