Will an Air Utility Brake Control work with an Older Analog Proportional Controller
Question:
I have an old Werner 1300-76 hydraulic actuated in cab brake controller (just like the hydraulic version you carry 1300-80) and would like to add an EOH to system to my trailer. Will this system work with the old analog proportional controllers? I have read on other websites that the Brake Rite SD is compatible with ANY brake controller. Also, about 9 months ago I was in search of an EOH system for my military trailer. I heard direct from Titan, Dexter and Cargo and all three said that they “weren’t sure if an old type analog controller would work smoothly”. This was before I had heard of the Brake Rite has out now.

I have something that will work is compatible with electric over hydraulic actuators. It is the Hayes Air Actuated Trailer Brake Controller # HA100400C.
I also spoke with Titan and they haven't tested the Titan BrakeRite I Plug and Play Electric-Hydraulic Actuator Kit # T4835700 with the older style hydraulic actuated brake controllers like your Warner part 1300-76 so they cannot confirm compatibility. I spoke with my contact at Warner and your current controller is not compatible with electric over hydraulic actuators.
I highly recommend the Tekonsha P3 # 90195 because its one of the most popular and highest rated brake controllers we currently offer and it's compatible with electric over hydraulic actuators. It has a LCD display and it will be very user friendly.
I included a couple informative articles about brake controllers for you too.
