Can Roadmaster High-Low Adapter be Used to Carry Scooter in Front Mount Hitch on Dodge Ram 2500

Question:

i have a motorcycle tray that I need to down on my Dodge Ram 2500 that I put your front hitch on. The scooter weighs 200 lbs. will this adapter work for this purpos?

In the past, Roadmaster did NOT recommend using the High-Low adapters for anything other than flat towing a vehicle, as they had never tested them for any other purpose.

They have since said the adapters such has # RM-048-6 can be used on hitch accessories as long as its 400 lb tongue weight and 10,000 lb towing capacity isn't exceeded. This means that no more than 400 lbs of downward force can be applied to the adapter so the combined weight of the scooter and carrier cannot exceed 400 pounds.

You will also need to check with the carrier manufacturer to make sure it can be used with an adapter like this.
