According to my research, 4WD models of the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited are capable of being flat towed, subject to the procedures outlined in the owner's manual, which need to be followed exactly. The ever so popular rear wheel drive models aren't capable of being flat towed.

I'd recommend the Demco Commnader II tow bar, part # DM9511012. The tow bar includes safety cables. When not in use, the tow bar can be removed, or folded up against the front of your Jeep. The Commander has a 6,000 lb capacity, and according to my research, your Wrangler Unlimited comes in well under that amount. For compatible base plates I recommend part # DM9519292.

You'll need to wire the Jeep for flat towing, I'd recommend the Roadmaster bulb and socket kit, part # RM-155. This kit is easy to install, and has the benefit of remaining completely independent of the wiring on the Jeep. No cutting or splicing is necessary.

A supplemental braking system is also recommended. The Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR can be installed or removed in just minutes. A battery disconnect like part # RM-766 is also recommended to prevent the battery of your Wrangler Unlimited from being drained while towing.

I've linked you to some helpful FAQ articles and some install videos featuring the parts I've recommended.
