Difference Between Grease Seal 10-9 and 10-60

Question:

Both the 10-9 and 10-60 Grease Seals seem to be with the same ID andOD dimensions except for the 10-60 seal is with double lip seal while the 10-9 is only with a single lip, correct? To me, having a double lip seal sounds better in retaining the grease than a single lip seal I.e. 10-9 can, so why not getting the 10-60 seal? Am I missing the point? I welcome your feedback and comment please? Thanks!

You are correct, a double lip seal is better than a single lip. All things being equal I always recommend a double lip when available. Especially when the application is a boat trailer that will get submerged in water.

The other difference between the two seals you mentioned is the that the part # RG06-020 includes a quantity of two of the 10-60 seals and the # 10-9 is only one seal.
