Comparison of Thule T2 Bike Rack and Swagman Semi 2.0

Question:

Hi again. Is Swagman Semi 2.0 good to go on 2015 Audi Q5? Thoughts on differences between the Semi 2.0 and Thule. T2? Your recommendation of which rack to purchase? Thanks.

The Thule T2 Pro XTR Bike Rack part # TH23JV and the Swagman Semi 2.0 # S64686 are very similar. Both only contact the bikes loaded on them by the wheel and both are platform racks. The biggest difference is that the Semi is a little bit lighter in weight and comes with the ability to be used in either a 1-1/4 inch or 2 inch hitch.

Either would work well but I would recommend the Swagman as it is lighter, works on both hitch sizes, comes with hitch locks, and costs less.

I attached a couple review videos for both racks plus a test course video for the Swagman that shows it with a bike loaded on it and being taken around our test course.
