Installing a 7-Way on a 2007 Chevy Silverado with No Tow Package or Hitch
Question:
I am considering an 07 Silverado new body style that doesnt have a tow package. No hitch at all. Is the truck wiring there for this plug even though the truck has no towing package? Thank you!

The wiring and connector should be behind the bumper so that you can connect part # PK11916. I have added a link to a page on a brake controller installation on a 2008 GMC Sierra with no hitch or 7-Way from the factory. I have also included a link to a video of this same installation. In addition to the 7-Way install, it also covers installing a brake controller.
