Troubleshooting Hyperflash When 2008 Land Rover Is Connected To Trailer With LED Lights
Question:
I bought a cargo trailer equiped with LED lights. It is a 4way plug, when connected everything works but it flashes either in driving mode or with engine off with ignition keys in, stops flashing if i pull keys off. My question is what kind load resistor I need and how many of them? Land rover equiped with 7-way and a 4-way plugs. Using just 4-way plug for this cargo trailer. Thank you

The LED lights on your new cargo trailer should not require resistors or diodes. Typically, resistors are used on a vehicle that switches to LED lights, but not needed for a trailer with LEDs.
You can try an adapter like part # C35FR to see if it eliminates the hyperflashing problem. It has not been tested on your vehicle but the resistors are built into the adapter. It will attach to the 4-way plug on the trailer and then plug into the 7-way connector on your Land Rover.
Load resistors such as part # DI34ZR increase the amperage draw on a circuit. If you are experiencing hyperflash on the turn signals or the LED lights do not have enough draw to activate the lights, a load resistor will help. You would need one resistor for each affected circuit. You can check out the attached instructions for the resistors.
