Yes, the Curt Class V trailer hitch you referenced, part # C15300, is a confirmed fit for your 1979 Ford F-150 long bed with standard or step bumper and 37-1/2-inch wide frame. Installation will require some drilling and temporary removal of the spare tire. An install video is linked for you.

For a wiring harness you can use Draw-Tite # 18252 which provide a 4-pole flat trailer connector for your trailer lights.

A great option in a ball mount kit is item # EBMK2416 which includes a ball mount with 3-inch rise or 4-inch drop, two hitch balls, a pin and clip, all together in a handy tote bag. Please see the inked video.

I linked our full selection below of trailer hitches that are designed to fit your 1997 F-150 (there are quite a few). The Curt units you mentioned won't work, as they're designed for older F-150 models. The Curt # C14355 is a confirmed fit but it does utilize existing holes in the frame rails - are you saying that there are no holes at all on your frame? To add a 7-Way you'll need to start with the Curt 4-Way Harness # C56031 and then upgrade it using the Wiring Kit # ETBC7.
