Hitch, Cargo Carrier, and Accessory Recommendations for 2014 Chevrolet Orlando 1LT
Question:
Hi, I have a 2014 Chevrolet Orlando 1LT. I will need a trailer hitch for this car. I saw your website this part code C11278 is for 2012 Orlando. Would you make sure it also fits 2014? I would also need to buy Cargo Carrier Code , net, bag, and lock, etc.

Yes, the Curt Class I Trailer Hitch Receiver, # C11278, is the correct hitch for your 2014 Chevrolet Orlando 1LT. Please keep in mind that Curt does require the use of Support Strap, # 18050, for all non-trailer loads including bike racks, cargo carriers and so forth. Failure to properly support these loads will void your hitch warranty from Curt.
As for a cargo carrier, the 20x48 Curt Cargo Carrier, # C18110, is a great choice. In an effort to prevent theft of your carrier, it is always a good idea to use a hitch lock like the Master Lock, # e98880.
Now for cargo carrier accessories. Using a net like # EM01010 is a great solution for keeping your cargo in place, especially when you have multiple pieces. Another one of my favorites is the etrailer Cargo Bag, # e98990. I tend to carry cargo (lots of it) that needs to be protected from the elements so this bag works great for me. It holds just about everything but the kitchen sink!
Just a reminder, you will want to ensure that you aren't exceeding the weight limitations of any component in your towing setup. This would include the vehicle, the hitch, or the cargo carrier.
