Is it Recommended to Balance Trailer Wheels/Tires
Question:
Just a thought. I took all 5 of my tire rim combos and had them balanced. This provided reassurance for a smooth ride and less vibration. It only costed 60 dollars extra for all 5 of them but they did need balanced. A lot of your buyers do not even think of doing this but it should be recommended for peace of mind while traveling down the road!

The trailer tire and wheel combination # AM3S862 is received from the supplier already with the tire mounted on the wheel. The supplier does not balance the combination, but when the tire is installed to the wheel they will line the high (heavy) spot on the tire with the low (light) spot on the wheel. This does not completely balance the tire and wheel combination but it does eliminate any excessive out of balance condition.
I am glad that balancing the rims/tires of your trailer helped your trailer tow smoother. Some shops don't like to balance trailer tires so I am glad you were able to find a shop that does. One reason some people don't balance trailer tires is that when a trailer is unloaded sometimes the wheels can bounce around a bit over bumps. This will usually knock the weights of the wheels. Others claim not to be able to feel the difference through the trailer.
