Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendation for a 2015 Ford F350 with Hitch Prep Package

Question:

I have a 2015 F350 dually and 23000 GVWR 5th wheel. Can the BandW Companion puck rated at 20,000 made for the Ford pull this? I have been told this BandW 20,000 hitch is better than the Ford factory hitch which is rated at 25,000

The B&W Companion OEM model, part # BWRVK3300, which you referenceed, has a 20K capacity so you will not want to go over the 20K capacity of the hitch. If your trailer weighs 23,000 lbs you will be over the weight limit.

As long as you have the long bed, and the fifth wheel prep package you can use the Reese M5 Series 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # RP30922. This hitch has a capacity of 27,000 lbs and would have plenty of capacity for your setup.

You should have 4 slightly raised pucks in the bed of your truck. These will be what the # RP30922 installs into.
