For your 2007 Nissan Pathfinder without factory tow package you will need a kit that includes the relays to activate the trailer wiring. You can use Curt # C56225 that includes the relays and which provides the 4-pole flat connector. This 4-pole will provide stop/turn/running light signals for your trailer.
If you wish to add a 7-way socket for flexibility you can add Hopkins part # 37185. This is a combination 4-pole and 7-way RV-style socket that simply plugs in to the 4-pole from the TowReady harness. This part enables you to have the same lighting signals available in either the 4-pole or 7-way formats.
Please note that only the lighting signals will appear on the 7-way. The other three circuits on the 7-way - trailer brake power, 12V auxiliary power and a reverse light circuit - will not be active until you complete their wiring. The linked article on trailer wiring shows the usual wire and pin configurations for both types of connectors.
