Recommended Trailer Hitch and Bike Rack for 2014 Acura TL
Question:
I have a 2014 Acura TL that I would like to install a trailer hitch on for bike rack attachment. Will not carry more than 2 bikes. 1. Is installing a hitch you going to void my Acura warranty? 2. Will the hitch be visible besides receiver from rear of vehicle? 3. Do you have to drill holes anywhere into my car? 4. Which hitch most suitable for what Ive described? Thanks!

If you are concerned about voiding the warranty of your 2014 Acura TL, I recommend checking the towing section in your owner's manual if you plan on installing a trailer hitch. Honda states the Acura TL was not designed for towing and doing so could void the warranty. That is something to keep in mind before installing a trailer hitch.
For a trailer hitch, you have two options. I have attached a link to them for you to check out. The Curt Class I Trailer Hitch, # C11496, is the hitch I recommend. This is the most economical hitch for your vehicle and is a bolt-on application, so no drilling is required. I have included a picture of the hitch installed on a 2011 Acura TSX. The fit will be similar to your TL.
For a bike rack, a great choice with your Acura TL is the Thule Camber part # TH9058. For a more economical option I recommend the Swagman Trailhead 2 Bike Rack, part # S63360.
If you will be carrying alternative frame, women's, children's bike racks it is recommended to use an adapter bar like the Yakima Tube Top # Y02531. This adapter will provide a horizontal mounting tube that will allow the bikes to be carried in more level position, therefore improving ground clearance.
