Does the Screen of a P3 Brake Controller Ever Turn Off

Question:

I Just installed a Tekonsha P-3 brake controller with your wiring harness for a 2012 Toyota 4runner. Everything plugged in perfectly. My question is this does this units display screen turn off? The display lit up as soon as plugged in and I can find no way of turning it off without unplugging unit.This may be a stupid question but I have to ask! Thanks for your time.

Not a stupid question at all! The P3 Brake Controller part # 90195 that you installed in your truck will shut off on it's own after 15 minutes of no activity.

Also, the display screen only draws such a tiny amount of amperage that it would take a very long time for it to drain a vehicle battery enough to prevent the vehicle from starting.
