Hitch Recommendation for Carrying Thule T2 TH69TX Bike Rack on 2014 Ford Explorer
Question:
I want to install a hitch on my new 2014 Ford Explorer to carry my Thule t2 bike rack. Which hitch is recommended?

I'd recommend the Curt Class III hitch, part # C13386. The hitch is rated for 4000 lbs towing/400 lbs tongue weight, so it should work great with your Thule bike rack. There are other hitches available, but since all the hitches for your vehicle have the same weight capacity and would install in the same manner, you won't sacrifice anything by going with the least expensive option, the Curt # C13386.
I've linked you to an install video for the hitch.
If you're also planning on towing with your hitch, you might also be interested in the following to complete your towing system:
-Trailer wiring harness with 4-pole trailer connector, part # C59236, or # 118540 if your Explorer has the tow package
-Ball mount, part # C45010
-1-7/8 inch trailer ball, part # 19260
-2 inch trailer ball, part # 63845
-Locking hitch pin, part # e98882
