Is Drilling Required to Install Husky Round Bar Weight Distribution System
Question:
The brackets on the trailer tongue which both torsion bars chain mount to have a single bolt to position them on the tongue. I see 2 existing 3/8inch holes towards the outside bottom of each. Should these be drilled through the tongue and bolted or are the brackets supposed to slide in use?

Helpful Expert Reply:
Most chain hanging weight distribution systems use a set screw to hold the chain hanging brackets in place and drilling is not required. This is the case with the Husky round bar systems as well. You will not have to drill. You will tighten the back hex bolt (set screw) by hand until you cannot turn it anymore. Then using a wrench give it another 1/4 turn.
