Extra Exhaust Hangers when Installing Trailer Hitch on a 2007 Subaru Impreza WRX

Question:

I have a 2007 WRX with a 3inch Cobb TBE and I am installing the C11497 Curt hitch onto it to use for a bike rack. I watched the install video several times but I do not feel confident on whether or not I will only need 2 or if I will need to buy 3 extra long aftermarket exhaust hangers for my specific application. Can you help?

Based on the exhaust you have and the unknown compatibility with Curt hitch # C11497 on your 2007 Subaru Impreza, I recommend getting 3, if not a couple extra just in case because you never know what you might need. Its better to be prepared.

You mentioned using the hitch with a bike rack. Since the hitch is a Class I, you will need a bike rack that is Class I compatible and you are limited to 2 bikes at most. Also, Curt requires the use of stabilization strap # 18050 when using the hitch for any non-trailer load, such as a bike rack. I have included a link to all of the 2-bike carriers that are Class I compatible.
