What Wire to Use for Stoplight Circuit When Installing a Brake Controller in a Vehicle

brake lights are wired on truck to run through the signal wires and cant find where to hook brake light wire to run into the controller

Sounds like you are trying to use one of the brake light circuits for either the left or right side stop/turn circuit. Since the blinker is on that circuit it won't work.

What you will need to do is use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to test the wire coming from the brake switch near your brake pedal till you find a wire that has 12 volts when the brakes are applied and none when they are released. That will be the wire to use to install your brake controller.
