Will Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch 24847 Fit 2014 Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid
Question:
I know the Curt hitch is compatible but I am dreading dealing with the required strap and possibly damaging the paint or my trunk wing/spoiler. I have the Thule EasyFold rack and just looking to finish the setup. Does anyone have input to see if this Draw-Tite hitch may fit my Plug-in? Any input is greatly appreciated.

I checked with my technical contact at Draw-Tite regarding the fit of their Class I hitch # 24847 on your 2014 Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid. This hitch will not fit your car.
Your option for using your Thule EasyFold platform rack # TH903202 is the Curt hitch # C11276. This hitch does, as you noted, require you to use a stabilizing strap # 18050 in order to maintain your hitch warranty coverage from Curt. This is not such a bad thing.
Even if you did not have to use this strap, doing so would provide a degree of "insurance", meaning that any hitch would benefit from taking some of the stresses off it by using the strap. It will reduce random motion of the loaded bike rack and also take some stress off the vehicle's frame where the hitch attaches.
I have linked two helpful articles on hitch installation as well as a video that may be useful to you.
