Recommended Class I Trailer Hitch for 2015 Ford Mustang
Question:
Do they have or will they have a receiver hitch for the 2015 Ford Mustang
asked by: Clint C
Expert Reply:
I suggest Draw-Tite Class I hitch # 24928 for your 2015 Ford Mustang since it fits both Fastback and convertible versions. It includes all required hardware and installs without drilling. A video and helpful article are linked for you.
If you plan to tow you'll need a ball mount # 3594, and either 1-7/8-inch hitch ball # 19256 or 2-inch ball # 19258. For a trailer wiring harness fit for your car use Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring # 118487. Be sure to check your owner's manual before towing to confirm the car's capacity.
If you plan to use the hitch for a bike rack you'll need to select a compatible 2-bike Class I carrier such as those shown on the linked page. The Swagman XTC-2 # S64670 is a popular choice.
