What is a Sidewinder and Why Won't the Curt Q-Series Hitches Work with Them

Question:

In the note it states that this Curt Q-Series fifth-wheel hitches are not compatible with Sidewinder or Revolution king pins. What do you mean by Sidewinder or Revolution king pins? Is this a trailer-specific type of kingpin? Thanks

A Sidewinder or Reese Revolution pin box is a very specific style of pin box replacement that allows short bed trucks to make tight turns without having to use a slider hitch. You would know if your trailer had one most likely. For more information on them check out the FAQ article I attached to the right.

The jaws of the Q-Series Curt hitches are too wide for them to work with the Sidewinders.
