Installation Instructions for Reese Universal Base Rail Kit on 1989 Ford F250 Long Bed

Question:

Where can I get a video on installing the RP30035? Also maybe instructions for a 1989 F250 long bed?? Now does anyone know how far the front rail is from the front edge of the bed of the truck and how far the back rail is from the back edge of the bed of the truck. Ether from the center of the rails or the front edge of the front one and the back edge of the back one. If from an edge of the rails how wide front to rear are the rails so I can figure the center I was guessing maybe about 6 inches or less wide front to rear of the rails. All this would apply to a 1989 F250 8 foot bed, it also has a extend cab but I don’t think that would matter, any help would be greatly appreciated.

At the present time we do not have a video showing the installation of # RP30035 on a 1989 Ford F250 long bed. However I have attached the installation instructions for part # RP30035 for you at right.

The rear rails should sit 32-1/2" from the rear edge of the truck. The measurement is from the rear edge of base rail to the rear edge of the truck bed. Once you have the rear rail in place you will be able to use the fifth wheel to position the front rail. It is as simple as that. See the diagram showing these measurements I made for you at right.

I have also included a video of the Reese Universal Base Rails being installed on a 2002 Ford F-250, which will give you a good idea how to install these rails.
